Measuring 150cm x 200cm, this handmade flatweave wool rug combines warm beige and taupe tones with soft sky blue, natural ivory and gently layered neutral shades.
The design features an all-over arrangement of repeating stepped diamond medallions positioned in evenly spaced rows. Traditional star-like forms, hooked motifs and smaller geometric details appear within the diamonds, creating a rhythmic tribal pattern with strong symmetry and balance.
Warm beige, taupe and sand tones provide an earthy neutral foundation, complemented by areas of soft sky blue throughout the diamond medallions. Natural ivory defines many of the geometric outlines and motif highlights, while mushroom, camel and subtle greige tones create additional depth and natural tonal variation within the weave.
Rather than featuring a single central medallion or elaborate decorative border, the repeating diamond pattern flows continuously across the main field. Wider tonal bands at the top and bottom are finished with narrower striped detailing, providing subtle structure while allowing the geometric pattern to remain the focal point.
Handmade in India from wool, the traditional flatweave construction showcases the natural texture and individual tonal variation associated with handcrafted kilims. Hand-knotted fringe at both ends completes its artisan appearance.
