Measuring 200cm x 300cm, this handmade wool rug combines a natural ivory foundation with charcoal grey, stone grey, warm taupe and softly layered neutral tones.
The traditional design is centred around a series of elongated diamond medallions arranged vertically through the central field. Each medallion incorporates stepped geometric forms and intricate tribal-inspired motifs, creating a strong focal point while maintaining the balanced symmetry characteristic of traditional kilim weaving.
A decorative guard border surrounds the central panel with repeating geometric motifs, while the wider outer border introduces stylised tribal emblems and stepped detailing. Natural ivory provides the dominant background and highlights throughout the pattern, contrasted by charcoal and stone grey outlining. Warm taupe, greige, mushroom and subtle sand tones soften the composition and add depth to the handwoven surface.
Handmade in India from wool, the flatweave construction showcases the natural texture and subtle tonal variation associated with artisan kilims.
