Rust & Orange Geometric Tribal Medallion Kilim Runner Design 254 × 75 cm

Bring warm earthy colour and traditional geometric character into your interior with this Rust & Orange Geometric Tribal Medallion Kilim Runner from the Anatolian Collection. Measuring 254cm x 75cm, this handmade flatweave wool runner combines rich rust red and burnt orange with soft green and cream, complemented by golden yellow, teal and mauve accents.

The traditional tribal design features a column of hexagonal medallions running down the centre of the runner, each with a stepped inner motif and set within its own panel. Narrow cream bands outline the central field, while side borders of small multicoloured diamonds and stepped motifs frame the length of the runner.

Rust red and burnt orange establish the principal colour, forming the field ground and the medallion outlines. Soft green appears in the side borders and in several medallions, giving a muted contrast to the warm palette. Cream defines the borders and motif outlines, while golden yellow, teal and mauve accents add detail throughout.

Handmade in Afghanistan from wool, the traditional flatweave construction highlights the natural texture and tonal variation of the yarn. The column of hexagonal medallions and the multicoloured side borders reflect the decorative traditions associated with Afghan kilim weaving, giving the runner a rich handcrafted character.

With its 254cm x 75cm proportions, this runner is ideal for a hallway or entrance passage, and can also be placed beside a bed or in a kitchen. Its warm rust and orange palette suits Rustic Mediterranean and Eclectic interiors particularly well.
