Sage Green & Brown Geometric Tribal Diamond Kilim Rug Design 247 × 178 cm

Bring natural earthy colour and traditional geometric character into your interior with this Sage Green & Brown Geometric Tribal Diamond Kilim Rug from the Anatolian Collection. Measuring 247cm x 178cm, this handmade flatweave wool rug combines sage and olive green with earthy brown, complemented by navy blue, turquoise, beige, cream and soft lilac accents.

The traditional tribal design features vertical columns of nested stepped diamonds across the central field, with the diamonds outlined in cream and filled with green, brown and navy. A border of hooked and stepped motifs and an olive green outer band frame the composition.

Sage and olive green establish the principal colour, forming the ground and outer border. Earthy brown fills many of the diamonds and adds warmth. Navy blue gives strong contrast in alternating motifs, while turquoise, beige, cream and soft lilac accents add tonal variation.

Handmade in Afghanistan from wool, the traditional flatweave construction highlights the natural texture and tonal variation of the yarn. The cream-outlined diamond columns and the hooked border reflect the decorative traditions associated with Afghan kilim weaving, giving the rug an earthy handcrafted character.

At 247cm x 178cm, this kilim works well in a living room beneath a 3-seater sofa with the front legs on the rug, and is equally suited to a bedroom, placed at the foot of a double bed. Its green and earthy brown palette suits Organic Bohemian and Rustic Mediterranean interiors particularly well.
