A handmade Mamluk-style rug featuring an intricate geometric medallion design inspired by the traditional rugs of Cairo, Egypt. An ornate octagonal central medallion sits within a densely patterned rust and terracotta field, surrounded by repeating floral and geometric motifs in cream and ivory, with pale blue, beige, brown and gold accents.
Handmade with a wool pile on a cotton foundation, this rug features detailed geometric patterns and a balanced, symmetrical design characteristic of traditional Mamluk weaving.
