Bring bright warm colour and traditional geometric character into your interior with this Orange & Green Geometric Tribal Diamond Kilim Runner from the Anatolian Collection. Measuring 254cm x 74cm, this handmade flatweave wool runner combines burnt orange and terracotta with sage and olive green, complemented by teal, cream, golden yellow and lavender grey accents.
The traditional tribal design features a central column of linked, nested diamonds running the length of the runner, each diamond built from concentric stepped outlines. Small hooked and stepped motifs line the field on either side, while a terracotta border with a narrow patterned edge frames the composition.
Burnt orange and terracotta establish the principal colour, appearing in the outer border and the diamond outlines. Sage and olive green form the field around the central column and give the runner a soft, natural ground. Teal fills the centres of several diamonds, while cream outlines, golden yellow and lavender grey accents add brightness and detail throughout.
Handmade in Afghanistan from wool, the traditional flatweave construction highlights the natural texture and tonal variation of the yarn. The linked column of nested diamonds reflects the geometric traditions associated with Afghan kilim weaving, giving the runner a distinctive handcrafted character.
