Khorjeen designs are inspired by traditional saddlebag weavings, and this rug interprets that style in a banded layout. Fine multicoloured stripes run across the width of the rug, broken by decorative bands of small geometric star and flower motifs. A group of motif bands sits near each end, and a wider central band carries a row of interlinked diamond medallions on a red ground, giving the design a balanced, symmetrical structure.

Rust red establishes the principal colour, appearing in many of the stripes and as the ground of the central band. Mid blue and teal provide the main cool contrast, both in the stripes and as the ground of the motif bands nearer the ends. Mustard gold and burnt orange add warmth, while cream, peach and soft grey lighten the palette. Navy accents outline the geometric motifs and add definition.
