Measuring 160cm x 196cm, this handmade flatweave wool rug combines charcoal and stone grey with natural ivory, warm brown, taupe and softly layered neutral tones.
The contemporary design features a patchwork-inspired arrangement of interlocking rectangles and square blocks. Alternating vertical and horizontal formations create a structured grid effect, while subtle striations within individual panels introduce texture and visual movement across the surface.
Charcoal and stone grey provide much of the stronger visual structure, balanced by natural ivory panels that lighten the composition and create contrast. Warm taupe and mushroom-brown tones introduce an earthy element, while greige, sand, camel and pebble-grey variations create softer transitions between the individual geometric blocks.
Rather than featuring a traditional central medallion or decorative border, the geometric pattern extends across the entire surface of the rug. This borderless composition, combined with the clean colour blocking and architectural arrangement, gives the kilim a distinctly modern and minimalist character.
Handmade in India from wool, the traditional flatweave construction allows the natural woven texture and subtle tonal variations of the fibres to remain visible.
