Handmade rugs

Handmade rugs are knotted or woven by hand, knot by knot or thread by thread, which can take weeks or months for a single piece. Small irregularities in the pattern and colour are part of their character, and a well-made handmade rug can last for generations.

Machine-made rugs are woven on power looms, so they are more uniform and more affordable. Both have a place, and we stock both.
